Impact of climate change on mortality and morbidity Working Party

Reporting to the Sustainability Research and Thought Leadership Sub-Committee, the Impact of climate change on mortality and morbidity Working Party was formed in 2022, with the aim to create a study on the Impact of Climate Perils on Mortality and Morbidity risks in Life, Health & Pensions business.

Key Objectives:

  • To summarise industry best practice on modelling and data standards relevant to assessing the impact of climate change on mortality and morbidity.
  • Provide guidance for actuaries setting assumptions for mortality and morbidity to incorporate the effect of climate change.
