This working party seeks to address the following issues:

• Lack of financial literacy and numeracy across society, including poor money management and decision-making, low engagement with savings, funding for retirement and widening financial inequalities.
• Lack of meaningful, effective financial education for young people (school and early adulthood), but also gaps in adult financial understanding (e.g., pensions, compound interest, budgeting).
• Financial exclusion linked to literacy gaps, distrust in financial services, and inadequate consumer protection and guidance.
