This working party will explore the economic consequences of switching to a healthy diet for a country’s economy (taking UK as example) – in particular impact on long-term health costs, resultant change of land use, impact on agricultural sector and rural livelihoods, biodiversity, climate, ecosystem services (e.g. flood prevention), and impact on systemic risks such as food security and anti-microbial resistance, and investment portfolio opportunities and risks.
