How to with R is designed to take you on a practical journey from your very first steps in R to applying multiple linear regression in real-world analyses.
Starting at the foundation, we’ll cover how to install R and RStudio, navigate the interface, and understand the basic syntax that underpins all coding in R. From there, you’ll explore essential tools for descriptive statistics and data visualisation before moving into statistical concepts such as model assumptions and regression analysis. By the end of the course, you will not only understand the theory but also gain hands-on experience applying multiple linear regression in practice, building the confidence to use R for your own analytical projects.
This course is designed to enable volunteers to deepen their understanding of the IFoA’s DEI Strategy and goals, and consider actions they might take to embed DEI in their volunteer activity, and the work of their group, board or committee. Though aimed at volunteers, the course is available to all members and can be accessed and revisited as many times as needed.
The course covers various topics, including:
- The IFoA approach to DEI
- Decision-making
- Everyday DEI
- Board impact on DEI
- Depolarisation
